WHAT IS CHP?

CHP can be an important component of the nation’s future energy mix. Beginning with its ability to recycle the energy normally lost in generating electricity, significant benefits emerge:

  • Reducing our energy costs.
  • Strengthening our power infrastructure.
  • Decreasing our reliance on natural resources.
  • Reducing the negative impact on our environment.
  • Increasing energy security & independence.

In hospitals where there is high electric demand, a need for consistent, quality power and opportunities for thermal recovery, CHP offers real, substantive benefits. Benefits that can extend beyond their facilities to the communities in which they reside.
